As more clubs and activities have had to stop during lockdown part 2 how can we keep ourselves healthy and active? Under the current rules we are allowed out to exercise outside so we can go for a walk, run or bike ride… If you are like me, that’s not fun in this cold, rainy weather. I know so many people are going to miss their football/ gymnastics/ swimming clubs just to name a few over the next few weeks. I thought I would put together a few ideas to help keep the young people in Berkshire active.

Lockdown activities:

  • Search on YouTube, there are so many work outs from HIIT, Yoga, to seated exercises you can do whilst you are watching Netflix
  • Put your music on and dance like no one is watching or learn some TikTok dances
  • Learn a new football trick to impress your friends

My top tips are:

  • Plan to exercise at the time of day you feel most motivated and have lots of energy. Is it first thing when you get up or later in the day?
  • Find something you enjoy doing
  • Change it up, don’t stick to the same exercise every time.

Don’t forget to share with us at Berkshire Youth what you have been up to!
