We have created these hubs, with funding partner Greenham Trust, to support local young people, families and agencies through the COVID-19 lockdown, and as restrictions are lifted, by sharing resources and opportunities for help and assistance.

The virtual youth support hub is designed around connecting and listening, providing solutions where possible, whether through our own youth workers or via our network of connections. Our aim is to signpost you to the local opportunities and/or support available at this time.

We have put together a list of resources targeted at young people, parents/carers and youth workers. A word from PC Tim Emery (Safeguarding Officer), Thames Valley Police:

“From the perspective of the Police, we acknowledge that we are all living through the most challenging times the vast majority of us have ever faced. Almost all young people are coping really well and doing a great job following guidelines. If you do go out, you may be challenged by Police colleagues. This is normal and shouldn’t be a cause for alarm. If you are following guidelines you have absolutely nothing to worry about. Listen to what the officer (whether PCSO or Police Officer) has to say or is asking, and explain why you are out. We’re working with lots of different agencies to try and ensure people stay safe and we are only taking enforcement action as a very last resort, for those who are blatantly ignoring the rules. If you are struggling, please do use the various different apps from FaceTime to Skype to House Party to keep in touch with your friends and family. I am sure many of you have improved your levels on X-Box or gone through everything on Netflix by now! Check out the links suggested by Berkshire Youth. We will get through this if we continue to follow recommendations and hopefully levels of normality will start to reappear soon. Please continue to keep yourselves safe.”
