4/4/24 Challenge

28 January 2021

David has been inspiring adults as well as young people…

After hearing all about Berkshire Youth’s work and the impact this has on young people’s lives, Sam Mcleish, Calco Site Manager at #WatersideNewbury, was inspired to raise some vital funds for Berkshire Youth, along with his two of his fantastic friends.

Sam says, “My girlfriend, Amy, and good friend, Ben, have agreed to join me in raising funds for Berkshire Youth by completing the 4/4/24 challenge this March. This involves running 4 miles every 4 hours for 24 hours.

We all met last year at a gym called True Function where we all take part in ninja warrior training and have been training together on and off for the past year. Obviously with Covid restrictions we haven’t been in the gym as much over the last few months, however we have been able to run together when possible and when restrictions allowed and we have continued to train and support each other through this pandemic.

We are raising money for Berkshire Youth after speaking to David about the work they do for the youth of Berkshire and we want to make their lives a little better in any way we can.”

We think they’re absolutely amazing and look forward to sharing their latest news, photos and videos over the coming weeks. Follow their journey and please donate via their recently launched fundraising page.

Berkshire Youth is funded solely by donations and support from individuals and companies. All of the money raised is spent in Berkshire, and we thank all donors on behalf of the county’s young people who really need our support at the moment.
