Britwell – October 2022
27 October 2022
Qudsia has sent the following report on another busy month at Britwell Youth and Community Project.
“BYCP was recently awarded just over £10,000 from Great Western Railway for our Love Music Hate Violence Campaign. Young people and BYCP recording studio technician will visit Slough, Langley and Burnham Train stations once a month during the rush hour period to showcase their talent. They will produce and perform music around the topic of anti-knife crime to help raise more awareness about the dangers of it. More details of exact dates of performances to follow. Thank you to Great Western Railway for their ongoing support.
“On Tuesday 18 October, the Slough Anti-Litter Society provided an upcycle workshop for young people at BYCP. Young people brought in their old clothing items such as jeans and T-shirts and they were able to refresh their clothing using fabric paint. They also got to learn about the importance of wastage and the harmful effects on the environment. Thanks to the team for providing the workshop for our young people.
“BYCP held its October half-term holiday club from Monday 24 October – Friday 28 October. There were plenty of activities taking place including football, basketball, gaming, arts and crafts with the most popular being the Halloween Lantern competition in partnership with Osborne’s. Thank you to Osborne’s for providing the craft materials, prizes and hands on expertise!”
Well done, everyone!
