Catch Up with Ehize

28 February 2022

We first introduced you to Ehize in our September newsletter. We recently caught up to him to find out how he is enjoying his youth worker role in the Bracknell area.

“Things are going well working with Berkshire Youth and being involved at the schools. It’s interesting how at times you can resonate with the young people due to your own similar experience with challenges at their age. Being able to be a positive figure to the young people is a great feeling, as is suggesting ways to deal with their problems. It’s also nice how students are familiar with The Wayz and come up to me to tell me that they used to / go there.

“I still to this day have students across every school ask me how tall I am, which follows up with a burst of excitement when they guess my height correctly, so I guess some things don’t change! In terms of future plans, I still want to continue making the young people become the best version of themselves, as well as myself through my extra-curricular interests outside of being a youth worker.”
