CEO’s Thoughts (April Newsletter)
28 April 2022
Welcome to our April newsletter!
Firstly, I would like to say thank you all of Terry Mason’s family and friends, whose kindness and generosity donated £1,750 to the work of Berkshire Youth in Terry’s memory. Terry played such a massive role in the development of Berkshire Youth, and his commitment to young people will be remembered forever.
I would also like to thank the Rotary Club of Reading Abbey who have so very generously made Berkshire Youth the beneficiary of the annual Englefield 10k to be held on 28 August 2022, so get your trainers on and get training! Alternatively, perhaps you could lend your time by volunteering as a marshal to support the run on the day?
I appreciate that a lot of you will be planning a Jubilee celebration and we would love to share news of your event across our network, either before the day to welcome supporters or with lots of great photos afterwards. Please email Julie MacLean about your event(s) if this is of interest.
Berkshire Youth is delighted to have been asked to partner with Mind to support the Youth in Mind Conference on 18 May at the Globe in Reading. We would love it if as many youth workers as possible could join us, bringing along some of your young people if their schools allow it. Please follow this link for event and ticket information.
And finally a big thank you to you for being part of the support network for young people! Let’s build on the work we are all trying to do, let’s champion young people and make everywhere in Berkshire a great place for young people to grow up and live!
