Gareth Wins Pride of Bracknell Gold Award

7 April 2022

HUGE congratulations to Gareth, Area Youth and Community Work Manager at The Wayz, for winning The John Nike Pride of Bracknell Forest – Adult’s Gold Award.

Gareth was nominated for working tirelessly with the young people in the Bracknell community, showing unending determination to improve the lives of everyone around him; for being a pillar of the local community, his positivity, selflessness and continued resilience.

Gareth said: “Winning the award is a great privilege, and something that I share with those around me who help support and contribute to the work carried out by myself and others at The Wayz.

“Like all youth workers, we tirelessly work to support young people against a difficult flow of challenges and lack of funding, but we keep going!!! We don’t do it for recognition, but it’s great to receive every now and then.

“It was a brilliant event, and great to see so many partners of The Wayz picking up awards for the great work they do! Well done to everyone!”

Well done, Gareth, we’re really proud of you. It’s fantastic to see you getting the recognition you deserve for all of the wonderful work that you do!
