Latest from Lucy!
28 October 2021
Lucy joined us recently via the Kickstart programme. We asked her how she’s finding the experience so far and here’s what she said:
“I have found working at the Waterside Centre very exciting and love the fact every day is different. I have been involved in many meeting revolving around data and why it is valued. I have also been in charge of Kit out the Nation, as the centre was a drop off point for good quality sports kit, and we are so grateful for all of the donations. I have been learning about administration – different software and tools. I have been going around the Newbury area on detached work and I will be going to Tilehurst to help run a project with Jessica, running activities for young people.
While working here has definitely pushed me out of my comfort zone, I have done a presentation and been on radio, which I would have declined before! What I have enjoyed is finding out psychologically more factors on why youths behave in so many ways in society.”
We love having Lucy as part of the team. Keep up the good work!
