Meet the Trustees – Clive Williams

28 June 2021

We complete our series of meeting the Trustees with Clive Williams. Clive was due to retire from our Board but kindly agreed to stay on at Berkshire Youth to see the Waterside Centre development through to a successful conclusion.

Clive says: “I am a longstanding Trustee of Berkshire Youth. I have seen the youth service go through a rollercoaster of fortunes in recent years, once Local Authorities were unable to fund the service to previous levels. Government grants came to the rescue for a time but these too are now fewer. Throughout this turmoil, Berkshire Youth kept the flag flying for young people in Berkshire and the Waterside development in Newbury represents a significant achievement, due in large measure to the drive and energy of our President, Roger Smee MBE, and Chief Executive, David Seward. I am proud to have been able to make a small contribution to Berkshire Youth’s success.”

Thank you ever so much to Clive and all of our Trustees for their wonderful work and commitment to our charity and in turn Berkshire’s young people.
