Meet the Trustees – Martin Deaves
27 May 2021
Here we meet our Treasurer, Martin Deaves, who has been a Trustee of Berkshire Youth for ten years.
Martin writes: “I have really enjoyed supporting Berkshire Youth, as Treasurer, for the past 10 years.
“During my working life I was fortunate enough to enjoy a varied career as a finance professional, mainly in the electrical engineering sector. This included working as a Finance Director for over 20 years and spending eight years overseas with assignments in Malawi, France and Australia.
“Since retiring in 2010 I have been happy to use some of my financial management experience to help David Seward and the team at Berkshire Youth.
“David has an extremely dedicated team who do an excellent job of supporting young people throughout the county. I’m really pleased that I can help in a small way by providing accounting and financial management support for Berkshire Youth.
“I have lived in Berkshire for 17 years. When I’m not supporting Berkshire Youth, I enjoy; golf, cycling, sailing, singing with Reading male Voice Choir, and spending time with my family (three children, five grandchildren).”
Thank you, Martin, for all of your work and support!
