Memories of the Waterside Competition – Winners Revealed
20 October 2021
We were delighted with the response for memories from the Waterside Centre before its recent renovation, as featured in Newbury Today.
The lucky winners of our prize draw are:
- Yvie M – a climbing wall session for up to six people
- Kayleigh W – room hire at the centre for up to two hours
- Adam P – a £10 voucher for the new cafe (opening soon!)
We hope to welcome Yvie, Kayleigh and Adam to the centre soon to collect their prizes.
Yvie wrote: “My daughter went to a brilliant birthday party at the centre, it’s such an amazing location and the space was huge. We were running late because she wanted to see the swans on the way! The party was a messy play one and she ended up being carried home without her shoes as her feet were wet. There was lots of bubbles as I remember and lots of big tuff trays full of different sensory stuff… Amazing fun.”
Thank you so much to everyone who shared their memories with us as we look to showcase the centre’s 50-year history.
If you have memories from the centre, we’d still love to hear from you! Please share your memories by completing this form.
We look forward to sharing people’s memories across social media in the coming weeks as we showcase what a valuable asset the centre is for the West Berkshire community.
N/B: The lucky winners were selected from all the memories submitted before the end of September, using a random number generator.
