Online Safety
30 January 2023
Tuesday 7 February will be ‘Safer Internet Day’.
Being online can be a great place to learn and have fun, but have you ever felt unsafe? Occasionally you may come across things that make you uncomfortable or feel threatened.
This could be through a variety of platforms including social media or online gaming.
Internet Matters website provides trusted resources, information and advice on a range of online issues that you may face to help you enjoy the digital world safely and smartly.
The website also offers an online gaming advice hub to help get to grips with the basics of online gaming and staying safe.
Wokingham Borough Council, as part of the community safety partnership, has been working closely with local schools and colleges to promote online safety. Look out for the QR code around your school or college which will take you straight through to the internet matters website.
For further information about how to stay safe visit internetmatters.org.
