Pav’s Point of View

3 November 2021

As it’s #TrusteesWeek, we asked our Trustee, Pav Virk, more about his role at Berkshire Youth.

“As a Trustee for Berkshire Youth (BY), my role involves making sure we are working towards our goals and remaining in line with our vision. Being a Trustee is a big commitment, the charity and your fellow Trustees are relying on you to be responsive and engaged with decisions. This is very important for us (and all charities) as it ensures that we continue to help those we were set up to help and have a lasting impact on our community. I’m pleased to say that this has been a very straight-forward task with BY, mainly due to the excellent exec, management, and operational team the charity has in place at all levels.

One of the things I’ve really enjoyed since becoming part of BY is seeing the Waterside Centre come to life. It’s amazing to think about how far this centre has come in my time with the charity, and having seen it in its final stages of completion a few months ago I was amazed at how well the project had been executed. Now that it’s live and operational I know it will be a huge benefit for many young people for many years to come, and that is something I feel very proud of.”

Thank you again to Pav and all of our Trustees for the time they dedicate to our charity to benefit the young people of Berkshire.
