Meet Mia, our newest youth worker.

Mia said: “I’ve worked professionally with young people for around six years. My first job was working at The Wayz as a leader for Day Camps, which is what made me realise that working with young people is what I want to do. I have also been a sports coach, worked in schools and residential units, and I’ve been a nanny too!

“I believe I bring a lot of enthusiasm and fun to my role, which is vital as a youth worker. I also play rugby for Abbey Women’s Rugby Club, which is a real passion of mine. I chose Berkshire Youth because I knew from past experience that The Wayz is a great place to work. Working with young people in schools on a 1:1 basis is something that I thoroughly enjoy, so much so that it doesn’t even feel like work! As a youth worker, it puts me in a position where I am able to inspire the next generation and positively influence and guide the young people I work with. This in itself is priceless, and is the reason why youth work has such a positive impact.“

Thanks, Mia. We’re thrilled to officially welcome you to the team!
