Tilehurst Art Club

9 June 2022

Youth worker Jessica tells us about the new Tilehurst Art Club.

“We ran our first session of the Tilehurst Art Club on Thursday 7 June. The new art club is open to young people in school years 7 – 9.

“During the session, we started with some colouring whilst we got to know each other and then played a game of ‘polite artist’. This game has a secret rule which players (artists) must figure out in order to get their painting into the gallery! We also did some swap drawings where one person drew a head, the next person a torso, another person some legs and finally some feet! This ended up in some really funny people being created.”

Sessions are set to continue weekly on Tuesdays until 19 July, 7 – 8.30pm, at the Jubilee Annexe at The Calcot Centre, RG31 4XD. Sessions cost just £1, and have been launched in partnership with Tilehurst Parish Council.

To book your places, please contact Jessica by email or on 07881 941345.
