Tilehurst Parish Council Update

30 May 2022

We recently caught up with youth worker Jessica to find out the latest from the Tilehurst area.

“Multi-sport sessions have started at Cotswold Sports Centre! These sessions have started as a result of conversations with young people through detached youth work, where they said they would like some sporty activities to do after school. The plan is for these sessions to be multi-sport and for young people to decide what they would like to do during sessions. A session plan will then be created for the weekly sessions, so young people know what sports to expect each week.

“Sessions are FREE on Thursdays, 4.30 – 5.30pm, term time only, and open to young people in school years 7-9. A medical consent form is required for young people to attend, please email me for a copy. Alternatively, these will be available at sessions to be completed. This must be done by a parent or guardian.

“Thank you to Cotswold Sports Centre for supporting Berkshire Youth, in Partnership with Tilehurst Parish Council. Without their support, we wouldn’t have been able to get these sessions up and running.”
