Tilehurst Parish Council Update

Our brilliant youth worker, Jessica, has sent this update on all of the exciting projects she’s been working on with Tilehurst Parish Council!
New Youth Club
The new Tilehurst Youth Club started on Thursday 15 September, with nine young people attending, and an increase in numbers each week! They came up with lots of ideas for the activities they would like to do in their sessions, as well as equipment needed for the kitchen so we can do some cooking. They also took part in making spaghetti and marshmallow towers, seeing which group had the tallest tower at the end of the time limit!
This club is for young people in school years 7 – 9 is held in the Jubilee Annexe of The Calcot Centre. It runs on Thursday evenings (term time only), 7pm – 8.30pm. It costs just £2 per week to attend, with your first week free! Some of the brilliant things we will be doing at sessions include: cooking, arts and crafts, sports, workshops, table tennis, computer games and much more! Refreshments will also be available to purchase at the sessions.
