Tilehurst Parish Council Update

27 October 2022

The new Tilehurst Youth Club has been very busy since it started in September, with young people taking part in a range of activities, including arts and crafts, sports, computer games, table tennis and table football.

Recently, the young people asked to do some cooking, so the club spent a session making chocolate cookies which were enjoyed by all! There will be more cooking soon. This week, the young people had great fun carving and decorating pumpkins for Hallowe’en. In early December, there’ll be more seasonal fun as we’ll be decorating a Christmas tree or two for display in the parish council’s Calcot building.

Tilehurst Youth Club is for young people in school years 7 – 9, and is held in the Jubilee Annexe, Calcot, 7 – 8.30pm on Thursday evenings. It costs £2 per person each week to attend – but your first week is free.

We also hold a tuck shop at each session, so refreshments are available for young people to buy.

Anyone who’d like more information on Tilehurst Youth Club should please contact Jessica jessica.kirby@berkshireyouth.co.uk, 07881 941345.
