Tilehurst Youth Club – Christmas Party 2022

16 December 2022

Youth worker Jessica tells us all about the fun everyone had at last night’s Christmas party:

“For the final session of the Tilehurst Parish Council Youth Club for 2022, we had a Christmas party! We started off with a big hot chocolate with lots of toppings (whipped cream, marshmallows, Terry’s chocolate orange flake and candy cane!) whilst we finished off our salt dough Christmas tree ornaments and made some paper snowflakes.

“Young people then split into four teams to take part in the Christmas 2022 quiz, This had four themed rounds, with four questions in each round, each team had a volunteer with them and battled it out for first place. After the quiz, young people were treated to some snacks, a Christmas cracker and party poppers. We had Christmas music on and also played pass the parcel!

“At the end of the session, young people received an extra special surprise – Christmas presents which had been kindly donated by Thames Water employees via The Giving Tree campaign organised by Connect Reading. There were lots of presents donated, with a 50/50 mix of arts and crafts and board games. Young people were super excited to receive these and are now looking forward to Christmas even more!

“It was a very busy session! We look forward to welcoming young people back to Tilehurst Youth Club on Thursday 12 January 2023, 6.30 – 8.30pm.

“Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!”
