Training Opportunities

30 November 2022

The new annual training plan will be shared soon but, in the meantime, here are the courses currently available to be booked in January and February 2023:

Universal Safeguarding Children and Young People – 19 January – 6.30 – 9.30pm. Watlington House, Reading. £30*

Emergency First Aid at Work – 28 January – 9am – 5pm. Watlington House, Reading. £60*

This is a level 3 assessed qualification and is valid for three years. Please note: to successfully complete the qualification students will need to complete a number of practical activities while kneeling.

Equality, Diversity and Inclusion – 9 February – 6.30 – 9.30pm. Watlington House, Reading. £30*

Youth Mental Health First Aid – 25 February – 9am – 5pm. Watlington House, Reading. £60*

This six-hour level 2 qualification provides learners with the knowledge to recognise a range of mental health conditions, how to start a supportive conversation and when to signpost a person to seek appropriate professional help. There is a short assessment paper towards the end of the course.
