We highly recommend that all staff who work with young people participate in a selection of general courses to keep you and the young people safe.
10 June 2023 (9am – 4.30pm): Youth Mental Health First Aid
This level 2 qualification has been designed with children and young people in mind. It covers areas such as depression, self-harm, eating disorders and bullying. It will provide the knowledge and skill to identify a potential mental health condition, start a conversation and provide support and guidance to professional help.
14 June 2023 (6.30 – 9.30pm): Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
We highly recommend that all staff who work with young people consider attending this course to keep you and young people safe.
15 June 2023 (6.30 – 9.30pm): Reflective Practice
Suitable for full or part time staff, experienced volunteers and leaders in charge of sessions and provides support for those interested in gaining the L2 / L3 qualification.
19 June 2023 (6.30 – 9.30pm): Safe Practice in Youth Work Settings
Suitable for young leaders / new volunteers, helps support those looking to gain the L1 Certificate in Exploring Youth Work.
27 June 2023 (6.30 – 9.30pm): Managing Challenging Behaviour
Suitable for full or part time staff, experienced volunteers and leaders in charge of sessions and provides support for those interested in gaining the L2 / L3 qualification.
3 July 2023 (6.30 – 9.30pm): Self-Assessment in Youth Work Practice
Suitable for Young leaders / new volunteers, helps support those looking to gain the L1 Certificate in Exploring Youth Work.
6 July 2023 (6.30 – 9.30pm): Engaging and Communicating with Young People
