Waterside – March 2023

30 March 2023

Waterside’s Young Leaders have certainly made the most of the month of March. We’ve completed leadership training, opened our Youth Café coffee and cake bar on a Friday evening, been nominated for and attended the Newbury Town Civic Awards (shout out to Ashley for winning the Young People’s category!), spoken live on Kennet Radio’s Saturday Chatter-day show, made plans for youth-led Easter activities and hosted the Waterside Series events.

These young people are true champions of the Waterside Centre and our growing community. They give up their time to learn new skills, support others and celebrate all that Waterside has to offer.

Overall since the beginning of this academic year, the Young Leaders group has participated in the equivalent of over 400 hours of training, volunteering and social action.

We are so incredibly proud of this dedicated group of individuals an all that they do. Please do celebrate their successes with them when you see them and help us to share the amazing work that they do with us.

Thank you to Kelly for this update from the very busy Waterside Centre!
