Waterside Update
27 May 2021
The building works are nearing completion and we look forward to receiving the keys from the builders in mid-June. The works were delayed by just two weeks in total due to issues caused by the pandemic and Brexit.
We are delighted to announce the appointment of Kelly Leach as the new Youth and Community Manager at the Waterside Centre. Kelly will take up her position on Thursday 1 July, getting the Waterside Centre programmes up and running as soon as possible. We are sure that Kelly will do a fantastic job in her new role.
Kelly says: “I’m absolutely thrilled to be taking on the role of Youth and Community Manager at the Waterside Centre. Being based in the heart of Newbury will be a great chance to expand the fantastic work that Berkshire Youth already offers within the local community. I’m really excited about bringing my enthusiasm for youth work to the role and working with the team to develop new opportunities for young people.”
It won’t be long now until we open the doors of this wonderful youth and community centre and the local community can experience the benefits for themselves.
We are still looking for local people and organisations to support this exciting project. Please click here to find out how you can help.
