Waterside Welcomes Special Visitors

15 September 2022

Everyone at Waterside Centre was delighted to be joined by some special visitors this summer.

West Berkshire Council representatives visited to see the summer HAF programme in full swing, enjoying the opportunity to meet some of our young people enjoying the activities on offer. Councillor Dominic Boeck (Lead Member for Children, Young People and Education) is pictured above by the canal with Kelly and some of the young people making the most of the water-based activities on offer.

Wooden Spoon Charity funded the cafe’s refurbishment, and Chris Henkey (Chair Wooden Spoon Chilterns) also popped in to see the cafe being appreciated by the young people attending our summer HAF programme as well as the local community who also frequent it. Chris is pictured above with some of the many young people who accessed the programme this summer.

Thank you so much to Dominic and Chris for your continued, invaluable support!
