Activities

Berkshire Youth’s mobile bus is visiting locations across Winnersh over the coming weeks. (April – June 2022). We have lots of fun things on board, including consoles. refreshments and activities. The great news is it’s completely free and open to all local young people!  Please click here to view the timetable which shows where we’ll be and when.

CTC Tennis Coaching – Shinfield Tennis Club has a range of sessions running again. Anyone who hasn’t had lessons with CTC Tennis Coaching before can book a free trial session – booking in advance essential. Elevate Me Wokingham – Information, advice and guidance to 16 – 18 year olds in Wokingham, who are not in education, employment or training (and young people aged up to 24 with SEND), covering career planning, education, jobs, apprenticeships, training opportunities, work experience and volunteering.

The Woodland Wanderer – join Victoria online for this half-term story session.   Suitable for families with children  aged 8 and under.  To sign up email libraries@wokingham.co.uk with your name and library card number.

Wokingham Youth Group for 8 – 17 year olds who are resident in the Borough of Wokingham and have a diagnosis of an ASC, or are on the waiting list for an assessment for an ASC and their siblings

Counselling Services

Kooth – It’s available for 11-18 year-old years, seven days a week, from 12 midday to 10pm week nights and from 6pm-10pm on Saturdays and Sundays. As well as the counselling (which is accredited by The British Association of Psychotherapy and Counselling), Kooth also offers moderated forums and self-help articles.

Mental health support for young people in Wokingham 

Tellmi app: Free online peer support.   Tellmi is a safe, anonymous app where you can talk about anything. From anxiety to autism, dating to depression, or self-harm to self-esteem. Sharing your experiences with the Tellmi community. Moderators check everything to keep you safe and their in-house counsellors are always on hand if you need extra support.  The Tellmi App can be downloaded from Play Store or Apple Store.
