Youth Development and Community Engagement Update

27 February 2023

Brightwalton Parish Council are in the early stages of starting a youth club for primary school age children. They have some keen volunteers and a great venue, and we will be supporting the Brightwalton Community Coordinator in the journey of setting up this new youth club.

We have started our work with Thatcham Town Council to explore ongoing youth provisions for the town. We will be leading a Thatcham Community Youth Conversation at Thatcham Council Chambers on Thursday 20 April, 7 – 8pm. Invites will be going out to local youth organisations soon.

Berkshire Youth have some valued partners and through these, we have been able to provide wraparound support for our members of the Waterside Community Larder. Our visitors have included the West Berkshire Cost of Living Hub  and Adviza – career support.

Thank you to Kerrie, our Youth Development and Community Engagement Worker, for this super update!
