Youth Politics Event
30 January 2023
Here’s a great chance for young people – the first youth politics event to be hosted by Wokingham Borough Council.
Interested in politics and want to find out more about how you can have your say on decisions made about your community?
Wokingham Borough Council will be hosting its first Youth Politics event on Thursday 23 February, 4.30 – 6.30pm, in the Council Chambers at Shute End, Wokingham.
This event will be a chance for secondary school pupils to come along and learn about politics from councillors representing different parties in your borough. They will debate issues, chosen by Wokingham Youth Council, discuss their parties’ values and answer questions.
Holly Mackinnon, Youth Member MP for Wokingham Borough and Head of the Wokingham Youth Council, will also be talking about the youth engagement project and how you can get involved.
There will also be time for members of the audience to give your thoughts on what you would like to see in Wokingham to improve the lives of young people.
Spaces are limited so free tickets will need to be booked in advance of the event.
