CEO’s Thoughts (February 2023)

27 February 2023

As February becomes March, there is a definite sense of spring in the air; the weather feels brighter and a sense of optimism in the air.

It is also the time that we do our Youth Survey. In West Berkshire we have received 6000+ responses from young people, which represents about 50% of secondary age young people. We look forward to sharing the results with you at our Youth Conference in May.

We roll the surveys out across the rest of Berkshire on 1 March, so we look forward to generating some useful information from young people. The data is used by us to champion the needs of young people across the county with partners and statutory services, as well as shaping how our own services need to develop to meet the needs of young people.

We are also celebrating Mia joining the team and the birthday of our amazing Youth Ambassador and Reading FC’s superstar, Tom Holmes!

There are lots of ways to continue to support Berkshire Youth through fundraising through initiatives such as DontSendMeACard, suggesting us as a charity at your local supermarket or even raising money through local fundraisers such as the Newbury 10K. You can also share what we do through socials or make sure all your friends and family are following us too!
