Marvellous Morning at the Hungerford Harey 8!

13 June 2022

Sunny Sunday morning saw Berkshire Youth at the Hungerford Harey 8.

We are extremely grateful for the support from Harey 8 as their chosen charity for this year.

In appreciation of this super support, we entered teams in most races. We were represented in the Harey 8 by Lifecycle Software and also Thames Valley ABC who are based at Waterside Centre, Newbury. All runners completed the challenging course to raise more money for Berkshire Youth to support young people across Berkshire.

You can still donate to the Lifecycle Software team’s fundraising page here.

The Mayor of Hungerford was on hand to help give out the medals to the runners and cheer everyone over the line.

As runners had to be aged 17+ for the Harey 8, some of our young leaders took on the 2k fun run… in inflatable costumes! Taking slightly longer than planned on a hot day, they were certainly a crowd favourite! Not to be beaten, they decided to complete an 8k fun run over the day… in fancy dress!

A great atmosphere and support for all runners on the day. We thank the organising committee of the Harey 8 for making us so welcome on the day. We look forward to seeing you next year!
