In August, we welcomed 812 young people to our newly-renovated youth and community centre as part of the Holiday Activities and Food Programme (read more here). They enjoyed the amazing, free activities on offer, as well as the free lunches, in an effort to ensure that no young people went hungry over the long summer holidays.
We are currently working hard to finalise the Waterside Centre’s offer over the coming months, including a youth club, an exciting programme of events and a safe space where local young people can go to make friends with others their age, as well as trusted adults.
The Waterside Centre boasts inspiring facilities, including a climbing wall, dance studio and water-based activities.
We are still calling for help from local individuals and organisations to help finance the Waterside Centre’s transformation. Further information here.

We’re delighted to be opening our own Community Larder at Waterside Centre in January 2022. This is a membership scheme which provides healthy, affordable food to the West Berkshire community which would otherwise be sent to landfill. Please refer to the poster for further information.
We will be holding a mock larder on Tuesday 11 January, 2 – 4pm – please come along to learn more and sign up to become a member. (You can sign up to the scheme at any time by contacting us.)
The Community Larder officially opens on Tuesday 18 January and will be open every Tuesday, 2 – 4pm.
We desperately need volunteers to help run the Community Larder on Tuesday afternoons. Please contact us if you can help.
