Waterside Update

28 July 2021

We are delighted to be opening the doors of our newly-refurbished youth and community centre soon.

Berkshire Youth are running a Free Summer Holiday Club Programme this August for young people aged 11+. There is no need to book, but we recommend that you email us for more information.

If you’re Thatcham way, we are running a Free Community Summer Programme for young people aged 11 to 18 with Thatcham Town Council, RMD Adventure Learning and Thatcham Youth. Please email us for further details (again, no need to book places!)

Please note that these programmes also support young people who receive free school meals, so if you’d like to make a referral for a child on FSM please get in touch with us.

As there are so many exciting things happening at Waterside Centre, there are new social media pages. Give them a follow on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to keep up to date with all of the latest news from the centre.

You can also visit our YouTube channel to hear from Kelly, Youth and Community Manager, about the plans for the Waterside Centre and how brilliant this will be for local young people and the wider community. Kelly would love to hear from you if you would like to volunteer at the centre or with Berkshire Youth in other areas – she will find something for everyone. Challenge Kelly to find your new rewarding role by emailing her today!
