What we do at Berkshire Youth charity

Berkshire Youth believes that every young person should have access to opportunities to develop skills and raise their aspirations. With local authority funding greatly reduced and activities for young people being lost as a direct result, it is more important than ever to invest in personal development opportunities for staff and young people.

What We Do

This course is essential for all Berkshire Youth staff who work with young people and is considered best practice for those from affiliated clubs.

The course is designed to develop participants understanding of the issues related to equality, diversity and inclusion. It will also explore their responsibility to recognise, challenge and amend inequalities in the workplace.

Course content

  • Introduction to Equality, diversity and inclusion
  • Current legislation
  • Unconscious bias
  • Barriers to Equality / inclusion
  • Types of discrimination
  • Inclusive practice

 

A certificate of attendance will be issued at the end of the course.

It is recommended that all staff attend an update course every three years.
